Welcome to the official website of the University of Minnesota Ballroom Dance Club!
If you are new to ballroom dance then we especially want to welcome you! If you’re wondering about dancesport, check out our overview of the main dances we do.
At the University of Minnesota Ballroom Dance Club (which we often abbreviate as BDC), our mission is to create a fun atmosphere for the University and surrounding community. Our focus is on spreading the joy and knowledge of ballroom dance, as well as establishing an inclusive environment where dancers return year after year.
We are really lucky at BDC to be able to offer professional ballroom lessons! Our club is open to anyone, not just students. No special clothing, previous experience, or partner is necessary. The lessons will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:45pm with a social dance at 9pm. We will also be offering advanced classes on Fridays at 7pm. We meet in MP 1/2 which is on the second floor of the UMN Recreation and Wellness Center (RecWell).
If you are an alum of the club are you are interested in staying in touch, you can sign up for our alumni email list by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
