Chalking is a fun activity where club members go around campus and create lovely pieces of art. Ranging from club logos to dance steps, keep an eye out for that red logo! If you’re a current club member and willing to help draw, the first shift starts on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 4-5:30 PM. The second shift is on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 10-11:30 AM.

The RecWell Open House will feature different groups and clubs hosted at the RecWell, including BDC! Come to our table to learn more about our club on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 8-11 PM.

Explore U introduces incoming students to all the U’s student groups. Each group will have a table and posters along the perimeter of Huntington Bank Stadium. Stop by the table with dance shoes on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 1-4:30 PM.

Swing n’ Sundaes is a casual introduction to ballroom dancing. Free ice cream and popsicles will be served on the front lawn of Coffman Memorial Union along with a hustle dance lesson perfect for beginners! Get some sweet treats on Monday, September 1, 2025, at 6-8 PM.

Just Dance with BDC is a new event the club will host. Come into the Beacon Room of the RecWell to play Just Dance, eat snacks, meet new people, and watch some showcases! It will take place on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 6-8:30 PM.

Fall Into Dance is a beginner-friendly introduction to ballroom dancing. Club officers and alumni will teach basic steps in small groups which will rotate throughout the event. Alumni of our competition team will also perform, showcasing varying levels of dance experience. Join us in the RecWell in MP 1/2 on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 7-9 PM.

MN Ballroom Blast is a BDC-hosted competition located in the Great Hall of Coffman Memorial Union. It welcomes new and experienced dancers to compete and participate in a Halloween Bash in the evening. On the following day, the Level Up Seminar will commence including new skills taught by professional instructors. Join us on October 25-26, 2025.

Winter Formal concludes BDC events for the Fall semester. Join us for an afternoon of fun social dancing, games, performances, food, and more!

U Dance Fest is a fun and welcoming competition for all kinds of dancers: those who have never done a rock-step to seasoned competitors. It takes place in St. Paul’s Union Depot each spring on March 7-8, 2026.

Spring Formal is the final event of the year and is a time to celebrate and relax before finals. Join us for games, performances, and the long-awaited yearly “Lead Formation.” This year’s event will take place on May 2, 2026, from 3-6 PM.
